So, you’re into a guy who you’ve just met or perhaps known for a while. You find him attractive and like his personality. He may be someone that you regularly speak to. However, he’s unfortunately already seeing someone which leaves you wondering “the guy I like is dating someone else, what can I do?”
Respect his relationship
Even though you like this guy, it’s important to respect his current relationship. You may be tempted to flirt with him and drop hints that you’re interested. However, the fact of the matter is that he is already involved with someone. He may be really into his current love and see a future with them.
Put yourself in the shoes of the person he’s seeing. How would they feel if they knew you were making advances towards their man? Sure, you have feelings for this guy. However, for all you know, he could be very happy in his relationship.
He may not be into you at all
Putting things bluntly, if he liked you that much, he would be dating you, not someone else. This guy may not even be attracted to you at all. Maybe you’re not his type at all. He may simply view you as a regular friend.

Even if he does appear to like you too, the fact that he’s taken makes the situation complicated
There are many examples of guys who will continue seeing someone even though they clearly have feelings for someone else. Perhaps you can sense that he likes you, too. However, you are entering dangerous territory if you are considering getting involved with a guy who’s already taken.
He may have many reasons for staying in his current relationship and refusing to break up, even if he’s not happy. However, if you allow yourself to get involved with him, you’ll constantly be questioning whether he is sincere in his intentions. You run the risk of always feeling like you are second best if he is still with someone else.

If it bothers you to see the guy you like dating someone else, then avoid situations where you’ll encounter them
Perhaps you know the person that the guy is seeing and you regularly bump into them. If this makes you feel jealous or awkward, then you have every right to avoid situations where you’ll see them. There’s no need to subject yourself to anything that makes you unhappy.
Your best bet is to sit tight
As frustrating as it may feel, your best bet is to sit tight. This means continuing living your life as usual and treat him as a regular person you know. Do not act differently around him or the person he’s seeing. If his relationship does not work out, then he will become single later on. If this happens then it’s fair game for you to express your interest in him then and see where things go.
